Run some or all of the 100 mile trail running races in Texas, and earn bragging rights AND a silver buckle! The 2024-2025 Texas racing season to do the Slam goes from August 2024 to July 2025.

Cactus Rose Endurance Trail Race - October 25, 2024 (9 weeks after Habanero)

Dinosaur Valley Endurance Run - November 23, 2024 (4 weeks after Cactus Rose)

Brazos Bend 100 - December 7, 2024 (2 weeks after Dino Valley)

Rocky Raccoon 100, by USWE, Endurance Trail Race - February 1, 2025 (8 weeks after Brazos)

Grasslands Trail Run - March 15, 2025 (6 weeks after Rocky Raccoon)
Note that the Slam is only affiliated with the Dinosaur Valley Endurance Run event.​

How many of the Texas 100 milers can you run?!

THE LONE STAR SLAM - Complete the 100 mile distance with an official published finish time for 4 of these Texas 100 mile events to finish the Slam.

THE LONE STAR SUPER SLAM - Complete the 100 mile distance with an official published finish time for 5 of these Texas 100 mile events to finish the Super Slam.

THE LONE STAR GRAND SLAM - Complete the 100 mile distance with an official published finish time for ALL 6 of these Texas 100 mile events to finish the Slam. 6 100-milers over a 29 week period.
How Do I Participate?

Finishing any Slam combination will earn you a Lone Star Slam buckle specific to your Slam accomplishment and the accolades of us screaming your achievement on our website and on social media!

You must register for the Slam here at least by the time you have completed all your qualifying races. This cost covers the expense of the buckle and website/domain cost. $95 cost.

This list of 100 milers for Texas is publicly available, and the races in question are not associated with this project, except Dinosaur Valley Endurance Run which is produced by us, The Active Joe.

Only existing 100 milers with 10 or more official finishers in the previous season will be included. Races must be distance and not time-based and be on dirt or gravel trail.

You have until the end of the Slam season (each July) to order your buckle.

Buckles are individually produced and will take 7-10 weeks to receive.

No profit is generated from this project. The term "Lone Star Slam of Ultrarunning" is trademarked.
