Glen Rose, TX — December 11, 2024 — History was made on November 23, 2024, at the Dinosaur Valley Endurance Run as Aimee Jacobs shattered the overall course record in the 100-mile race with an extraordinary time of 19 hours, 30 minutes, and 30 seconds. Jacobs broke the previous course record of 19 hours, 46 minutes, and 45 seconds set in 2022. On her way to securing the 100-mile course record, Jacobs also broke the Female record for the 100K.

Jacobs’ journey to the finish line was as inspiring as her record-breaking time. Diagnosed in August 2024 with chondrosarcoma, a rare and life-threatening cancer tumor in her pelvis, Jacobs approached the Dino Valley Endurance Run with a determination unmatched by most. She postponed her surgery with the support of her medical team, who encouraged her to achieve her goal of completing her first 100-mile race.

Throughout the grueling race, Jacobs maintained her focus, even battling moments of pelvic pain and emotional highs and lows. "I kept telling myself, 'I get to do this,'" Jacobs said. "Every step felt like a gift, and crossing that finish line was the culmination of so much determination and support from those around me."
